Check list for Navy and Red Games

Check list:
1. White cheer shoes
2. No show white socks
3. Two pony tail holders (one for hair,  one for shirt)
4. Navy Bow
5. White poms
6. Black shorts

For those who were on the team last year:
10. Navy and Columbia shirts

If you signed up to bring a food item please don't forget to bring those too! Scrimmages will start at 4pm. We are cheering in the main gym first (for volleyball) and then we will be cheering outside (for football).

Navy and Red Games

Hello parents!

The first annual Navy and Red games are just around the corner. I met with the other sports coaches last night and we are so excited to make this an annual tradition.

The scrimmages will all start at 4pm (volleyball, football, and cross country). We will be cheering at both volleyball and football (first half of the night will be at volleyball second half of the night will be at football).

There is a session sign up to donate food for the teams to sell at this fundraiser. What we need donated is chips and Gatorade. All you have to do is put your name by the item on the list.




The menu for the night will be hot dogs, chips, Gatorade and water. Everything will be a dollar.

After the fundraiser we will be having a quick parent meeting to go over any questions you have about the rest of the season.

Updates

The coaches want to let everyone know how great the girls are doing. We have already learned all the chants and jumps this year and the girls are doing great with them!

We have a few updates/changes that have come up in the last few days we wanted to let you know about as well.

Calendar Updates (August Calendar)

  • Practice on Tuesday (21st) and Wednesday (22nd) this week will be shortened to 5 - 6:30 to allow time to go to the open houses. 
  • The first day of camp (August 24th) we are going to the Oak Park football game which has been moved to the DAC (aka Staley stadium). 
  • We have added a fundraiser to the calendar on August 29th time is still TBD. This is going to be a fundraiser with all of the Antioch sports. Each sport will be playing a scrimmage and we will be cheering them on! The idea is to have parents bring in a dish and pay a fee to get in to watch the games. Then all of the sports will split the money after. 
Updates We Need From You
  • If you didn't buy the package from online and therefore didn't get a navy bow for your student let us know! We have a few navy bows (that can be purchased or borrowed) but we just need to know who needs them. 
  • If you would be willing to make a dish for the Red and Navy games fundraiser on the 29th let us know! We will need volunteers in order to make this fundraiser work. 
  • If your student needs a ride to the Oak Park football game at Staley let us know and we will get a bus.
Misc Updates
  • We are planning on having a fundraiser where the students will sell Antioch apparel. We will have an online store so that you can distribute the link to family and friends easily. 
  • We will be collecting $5 from every student so that we can provide snacks (water, chips, granola bars etc.) at every football game.
  • We will also be splitting up the team for football games. Unfortunately we don't have enough uniforms for every student to cheer at every game. So we will be bringing half of the girls to each game and they will be cheering for both the A and B football teams. We will NOT be having an A and B team this will simply be a split in half of the girls. We will be splitting them based on the size of uniform they need and what position they are in the stunt groups.

Calendar Mistake

I apologize for the mistake but camp is supposed to be on Friday August 24th and Saturday August 25th. They are moved over on the calendar in the google drive on accident.

August Calendar

Here is our calendar for August. 

Please look it over carefully because times and locations of practices do change. I apologize in advanced for the crazy schedule but this is what we had to do in order to work with the new bell system and getting gym space. 

Don't forget to get your physical before the first practice on August 13th!
