We have had a few changes in our game schedule.
1) We will NOT have a basketball game for the Navy squad tomorrow (Monday Nov. 30th).
2)We have added a game on December 15th for the Navy Squad to replace it.
3)Also a game has been added on January 12th for the White Squad.

We have changed the time of practice on Wednesday December 16th to an evening practice. Practice will start at 5pm and go to 7pm. All cheerleaders will need to arrange their own transportation to and from practice. The sports bus will not be running that late.
Please make arrangements before the 16th to be there. We have very few opportunities to practice as a full squad to prepare for our showcase in February. We have a total of 14 full squad practices left, but we may only have the gym for a handful of those. If everyone is not present it makes full group stunts impossible to practice.

We are adding a FULL SQUAD practice on Tuesday, November 24th in the small gym from 3pm to 5pm. The sports busses will be available that day for transportation.

Arrival and Departure Times
Please be at school no later than 2:45 so you have time to change and warm-up before the game. It is suggested you bring a snack with you as the games will probably last until about 6:30. Please have a ride arranged to pick you up next to the small gym door by then. If it appears the game will be ending before then, you will be aloud to text your ride.
What to Wear
You need to bring your body liner, breifs, cheer shoes, no-show white socks, and pom poms with you. Come with your hair in a ponytail and your bow in your hair. No jewelry! You will receive you your uniforms to change into as soon as you arrive. If you are at school that day, you may bring your bag to Coach Edens's room (132) in the morning before school and you can store your things in her room until the game.
Spectators
Spectators will not be allowed at the games due to COVID-19 precautions, but the game will be live streamed. The link for the live stream will be posted on this blog at the beginning of the game for any parents wishing to watch.

Middle School Basketball Rules
The following items are required for all new cheerleaders. If you can find them from a different supplier cheaper you are welcome to do so. Returning cheerleaders should already have these items.
Body liner $13.99
(must be all white) about $30 -
Suggest buying actual cheer shoes as these are built to be more supportive and safer for cheerleading than the average tennis shoe.

If you didn't make the squad, please don't be discouraged. We had a limited number of students we could have in the gym because of the pandemic. The coaches will happily give you feedback on things you can work on to prepare for high school cheer. Everyone did a great job and it was a difficult decision! We do ask that you wait until Monday to contact coaches with questions or concerns.
We know that everyone is anxious and excited to learn who made the squad. We are waiting until final grades are posted for 1st quarter before an annoucement is made. Being a member of the cheer squad can be demanding and we want to make sure that participation in the squad doesn't interfere with your ability to keep up with academics! We will be annoucing the squad on Friday so check back!
